🌕 LUNASCOPE: Week of June 9, 2025
Handle with care. Jupiter has moved into Cancer. Full Moon in Sagittarius is downloading. And we’re gonna do something about it.
Breaking news: Jupiter has officially changed signs.
On Monday, June 9 at 4:02 PM Central, Jupiter left quick-thinking Gemini and entered nurturing Cancer, where it will stay until June 29, 2026.
This is a significant shift in tone. Over the past year, Jupiter in Gemini had us brainstorming, experimenting, and trying to mentally make sense of our growth path. Gemini is considered Jupiter’s “detriment,” meaning the planet of boundless enthusiasm and expansion had to work extra hard to do its thing in Gemini’s fast-moving, idea-hopping terrain. That transit is not bad — just not as easy for Jupiter’s energy to flow as it could be. We had to pass Gemini’s endless tests before Jupiter helped us to grow.
But now, in Cancer, Jupiter is held. Nourished. Guided by flowing water. It’s no longer about how many ideas you can come up with but how you can bring one to life and nurture it into something real.
Cancer is the mother archetype.
Where we feel secure and safe and truly at home. Jupiter in Cancer asks us to find the opportunities to express our protective empathy, instinct to nurture, our definition of home.
Cancer reminds us that home isn’t defined by a structure, border or a box, it’s a feeling of security and safety. Major transits like this will always lend to collective themes. I don’t have to spell out how this is all playing out in the USA and Los Angeles right now. Let’s hope that the upcoming Cancer season brings more empathy and generosity of spirit to the collective.
A quick Jupiter-in-Gemini reflection:
For me, Jupiter in Gemini was about expanding creatively. I played with new styles in my astrology content, began offering readings, and ultimately launched this weekly newsletter. My thoughts, writing, and communication all blossomed in new ways.
Now with Jupiter in Cancer I’m craving something quieter. I want a softer start to my days: lemon water, savoring my breakfast, time in the garden before I pick up my phone. Less doomscrolling, more real presence bc I’m Jupiter in Cancer is helping me notice how much better I feel when I take care to exist in the spaces that I feel secure.
The Invitation from Jupiter in Cancer
Not everything worth growing has to thrash through chaos. We need to feel safe and nurtured to bloom. That’s the invitation Jupiter in Cancer offers us this next year:
Ask yourself:
💫 What expansive, beautiful dream wants to be coaxed out of me?
💫 How could I grow with consistent care?
💫 Where can I nurture my emotions to shift my mindset?

Also this week, Full Moon in Sagittarius
In the early hours of Wednesday, June 11 at 2:42 AM Central, the Full Moon in Sagittarius gallops in offering a moment of release and clarity tied to the stories Jupiter told while in Gemini.
This Full Moon is ruled by Jupiter, and now in Cancer, so that connection goes even deeper. It’s the first lunation after the shift, and it’s helping you let go of whatever mental clutter or overstimulation is keeping from truly nurturing your next chapter.
Think back to May 26, the New Moon in Gemini. That was the seed-planting moment of this lunar cycle. And this week is the fruit of that labor. A culmination, a reveal, a point for integration.
Gemini and Sagittarius are opposite signs: the student and the teacher.
Gemini asks, “What else can I learn?”
Sagittarius asks, “What truth am I living by?”
This Full Moon wants you to line up your thoughts and ideas with a larger philosophy. Not every whim is meant to be followed.
Like the archer, aim your arrow at something that really matters. Even if you don’t land exactly on the target, taking that shot is a spectacular experience. This energy reminds you: there are more arrows. You can always try again. What matters is that you try with more clarity and faith each shot.
This lunation is especially powerful for letting go of:
mental distractions that keep you from meaningful progress
ideas you’ve outgrown, even if they once felt smart or shiny
hesitation around putting your big vision into motion
Luna wants to help you leave behind what’s not aligned with your deeper beliefs and philosophy of life and fearlessly step toward what is.
What else is happening this week?
Expect a bit of a Full Moon hangover. Emotions will be running high straight through to Cancer season next week.
On Saturday, June 14, Jupiter in Cancer begins a square to Saturn in Aries. This is a longer-term aspect (we’ll feel it for several days), and it’s a big one for 2025. It might feel like expansion meeting some resistance: a sign that lofty dreams need solid foundations to build on. But don’t let that scare you. This is builder energy, not blocker energy. This is how real transformation takes root: with brave, small steps.
Also on Saturday, Mars in Leo makes a square to Uranus in Taurus. Big rebel energy. Breaking free from restraints and questioning authority are what we’re supposed to be doing given this energy. If you don’t, the universe might give you an unexpected disruption anyway.
That’s it for now. Next week, Cancer szn begins with the solstice and Jupiter confronts Neptune for the first time since they changed signs this year.
But until then, remember: not everything has to grow fast to be successful.
Let your Jupiter in Cancer story grow slow. Let it be sweet and generous. Nurture it until it is something real.
with peace and love,
Linds
